James Manera has owned Blindfaith Productions since 2000, where he has acted as head of production and development for; worldwide advertising, feature films, documentary film and series, Network and cable series drama for 16 years. Manera began his career as a writer at the Leo Burnett Company, ending an 11-year agency run as a GCD/writer/director at DDB Worldwide before joining the Bedford Falls Company as a commercial director and director for the CBS dramatic series, Nash Bridges. After leaving Bedford Falls, Manera was contracted by Sony Pictures to develop and direct projects ranging from international marketing campaigns to feature film projects.
From 2009 to 2011, Manera became Director/C0-EP on a $22mm 10-part/10-hour Documentary Series for PBS entitled, On Record (The soundtrack of our lives) where he directed performances in studio and interviewed over 100 hall-of-fame music artists, composers and music company executives throughout the world - a history of recorded music. Manera performed as, Director/Show Runner for a Comcast TV series Pilot, The Sum of Us. Manera acted as Director 2nd Unit on the Paramount Pictures feature film, Indecent Proposal and Eternity Pictures feature film entitled, Body Shot, Manera wrote and directed an ABC TV Fall Season Promo. He produced and directed a documentary feature film, Festifull Summer (Netflix) and is slated to direct a feature thriller entitled, Overtime (2016 - Rebel Movies). In 2014 Manera wrote and directed the feature film, Who Is John Galt, for A is A Productions and directed the Pop music artist, Silento "Watch Me" video for Nickelodeon TV and Youtube. He recently directed international soccer star, Neymar, for a Panasonic digital quality series in San Paulo, Brazil.
